Tenant Spotlight: Autrix

Founded in June 2023, Autrix are a robotic automation company who work with SMEs to bridge the gap between technical expertise and practical solutions. With automation being such a wide-reaching term, Autrix focus on making it accessible to businesses of all sizes. In their own words, “whether you’re a budding entrepreneur or an established company looking to streamline operations, we’re here to help by becoming part of your team.”.

Autrix formed after the closure of a previous business, with past colleagues reforming to begin a new venture. With a mixed-discipline team and backgrounds in both robotics and engineering, they were expertly placed to join forces and offer a service for businesses. With an approach of, “if it needs moving, it can be automated”, Autrix have set their sights on helping companies of any size problem-solve, develop their offering and introduce robotics.

Having moved into Think Tank in December, Autrix has established a base for themselves in Lincoln as they look to develop their offering even further. One of the main perks they view of the office space is having the space to work in-person. The team view collaboration as paramount to effective work, and in a world dominated by Teams, Zoom and Google Meets, Autrix value face-to-face above all else.

Describing the move to Think Tank as, “one of the best decisions we’ve ever made”, they seem to be enjoying life in the business centre. With the nature of the work that Autrix deal with, having private meeting rooms to take confidential meetings is paramount for them and something that has been a welcome perk during their time at Think Tank. Linked to this, with NDAs being such a common part of any project, the privacy provided by Think Tank is not only a perk, but a necessity.

With eventual targets of expanding into keys markets such as the US, Autrix are first looking to expand their network throughout the midlands. With Lincolnshire in particular boasting such a strong base of agricultural businesses, automation seems like the natural next step in helping those SMEs modernise. With strong links to the LEP, Barclays Eagle Labs, Federation of Small Businesses and, of course, the University, Autrix are hoping to capitalise on that to help grow their own offering.
