Black Founders Connect would like you to Join us on 13th June for our second get together of the year!

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting black founders, creating safe spaces and encouraging networking, we’ll be hosting Black Founders Connect Meetups on a quarterly basis as part of our commitment to empowering and cultivating a thriving, innovative ecosystem for black founders across Lincolnshire.

We’re excited to again bring 3 amazing speakers to inspire, embolden and delight you.

Malcolm MacPhee is a Business Adviser with NBV who manage various contracts across the Midlands to offer business support to Start-up and existing enterprises.

With a robust background as an entrepreneur along with extensive experience in Corporate Management, Malcolm brings a unique blend of practical insight and strategic expertise to help businesses thrive.

Ginny Walker has 18 years’ experience running a family owned business, nurturing it from start up through to a successful management buyout; ensuring the continuity of a nationally recognised brand and B-2-B service in the graduate employment and skills sector. This was combined with a career in the public sector in strategic policy, partnership and project management roles to support regional and local economic development. 

She is currently working as a Business Advisor in the city of Lincoln, supporting businesses and enterprising individuals achieve their goals.

James Page As Lab Manager of the Barclays Eagle Lab at the University of Lincoln, James oversees the support provided to on-site Founders, drawing on 15 years of banking industry expertise and the wider Eagle Labs team. James Resides in Lincoln’s vibrant west-end, an area embodies a strong community spirit, and he is committed to empowering founders in their communities to foster growth nationwide.

James will be speaking about the new Barclays Eagle Labs Academy, to equip you with the skills, knowledge and expertise needed to succeed as you launch and grow your business. The Academy covers all aspects of launching and running a business, from how to find and hire the best people to how to raise finance; there is everything you need to help you and your team succeed.

Dumi Siwo – Creative Director and founder of Firmative, A Creative Content Agency working with the largest major record labels like Warner Music, Universal, Sony collaborating with over 150+ artists and brands like google, Samsung, Chivas Whiskey. 

Dumi is a graduate from Lincoln University with a BA in Film, TV & Drama. Whilst studying at University of Lincoln, Dumi started his first business running a HipHop club night called LoveDough – becoming a recognised club brand in the nightlife across the UK. His passion for music whilst running the events and the creativity from University would lead him to combining both worlds in order to create a digital creative business Firmative, Now in it’s 7th year.

Catherine Nnamdi is a multi-award winning business consultant and certified executive coach. A seasoned international speaker, trainer and facilitator, Catherine is also passionate about coaching and immersive thought-leadership for global leaders.

Catherine holds a BA (Hons) in International Business and has completed an executive leadership program with Oxford University; she is currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Lincoln. Catherine is a qualified Corporate & Executive Coach, Project Manager and NLP Master Practitioner.

Catherine is the founder of the largest global network for Part-time Entrepreneurs and is excited to launch Black Business Lincolnshire. Catherine seeks to engage the UK government on initiatives to enhance entrepreneurial diversity. Her passion is to help people climb the ladder of personal and professional achievement by promoting excellence.

Black Business Lincs is a unique concept, providing a bespoke hub for Black entrepreneurs and executives in Lincolnshire.
