My Story so far at the Think Tank

Hi my name is Jill and I work as a part time receptionist at Think Tank.

I work afternoons Monday to Friday and have been here since April 27th 2016.

On the day of my interview I was felt nervous,  I  walked into the Think Tank building not knowing what to expect I was pleasantly surprised at what a lovely open space it was. It’s so vibrant with the cafe and reception being in the same area. The windows all the way round make it light and airy and I could only imagine what it would be like to work in there.

I was asked to go into one of the two meeting pods for a discussion before my interview.

In there I met some of the team and was asked some questions before heading upstairs to the large conference room for my interview.

I was very nervous but I had no need to be as the staff on the interview panel put me at ease and I actually enjoyed the interview and came away feeling positive.

You can imagine my excitement when the very next day I took a phone call offering me the job!

It took a few weeks for all my checks and references to come through but before I knew it I was starting  work here in the Think Tank.

The first few weeks were quite daunting as I had a lot to learn plus so many new people to meet.

Gradually I am getting to know and recognise the various people who work in or visit our building.

My job aside from reception is marketing. So I will be Tweeting daily and will be in charge of updating the news on our website and sending out a newsletter.

I am enjoying the challenges I have been given.

This is my first blog I have ever done so I’m definitely  learning new things!

I look forward to meeting and getting to know more of you as the weeks and months progress.

Jill
